My brother’s getting married in about a week, and I’ve been having fun designing some things for his wedding! Made this little graphic that got turned into a card, and some other things for a few fun surprises for them on the big day 🙂 Their colors are lavender and grey, so I picked a really pretty lavender card stock for this design.
Recently, my coworker Emily found this great DIY Gold Foil tutorial, so naturally we’ve been gold foiling everything around the office. She found a cheap little 20 dollar laminator on amazon, as well as this gold foil, which also comes in some really fun colors other than gold! The key here is to make sure you’re printing your design off on laser printer NOT an inkjet printer. Now go do some gold foiling!
One of my best friends is getting married, and I’m lucky enough to have the opportunity to design her Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations! I loved how these Save the Dates turned out so much I had to post a sneak peek. Their photographer Paul Woo did an amazing job capturing them in the middle of all the beautiful fall colors around Columbus, and their photos were so fun to play with. This photo was definitely one of my favorites, and really helped play up the use of florals and leaves in their Save the Date lockup like the bride was hoping for.
Seems only fitting that my first post of the new year should be about our wedding! We got our pictures back around christmas, and our photographer, Simon Yao, did an amazing job with all of them. I wanted to share some of the photos he took of all of our beautiful designs that I had the opportunity to do for our wedding. While most of the little details probably aren’t important to anyone but me, I LOVED how our whole wedding “brand” turned out. My goal was to keep everything very organic and natural feeling, so it tied in well with our winery venue, Chateau Pomije. Our invites were all done by hand, with a custom made stamp, and gold embossing powder, to create a gold raised embossed effect on top of the blue paper. I hope you all love these designs as much as I enjoyed doing them! Wedding design has become something of a new passion for me 🙂
